Mineral (Baking Soda-Free) Deodorant

This is the first natural deodorant I have found to work, but what others say about the packaging is true. The product will not budge when “pressed” as instructions say. I even used the banged object on the bottom approach to no avail. I used a razor blade to cut the cardboard an inch below the top to access the product. Would think offering the product loose like a bar of soap would be more effective because the applicatior definitely is completely non-functional. Still giving it 4 stars because the product itself is excellent.

I have the Rosemary & Cedarwood Mineral Deodorant. I works! It smells great when I apply it and no stink hours later. NOTE: I am not a person who sweats much. A challenge I have had: it is very difficult to push the bottom up to dispense more deodorant - I have pressed the bottom onto another product's metal cap to push it up. Additionally, I now need to scoop against the product with my fingernail, scraping forward to get some product. Then I massage it into my underarms because it has dried out over time. I still love it!

I have been on a journey for about ten years of trying to go aluminum free and being discouraged that no matter how many brands of natural deodorant I found, nothing worked for me.

I finally made a committed effort this year to detox from aluminum, and it took about six weeks. I still didn’t find something that worked well in the natural deodorant sphere, but it was getting easier to use aluminum free deodorant. A friend of mine recommended J&L, and although I’ve only used it for three days - it has been a MIRACLE. I got a travel size of the Orange and Bergamot with no baking soda, and it has lasted me all day with no odor and even held up through a sweaty workout.

I gave this deodorant a try to see if I would like to recommend it to any family, friends, and holistic wellness clients. I've been using it for a few weeks now and am really enjoying how light it is. I typically wear it when I'm working from home or when leaving the house with a shirt that has any type of sleeves (short, long, a jacket, etc) because it does apply white and I have underarm hair. This isn't a huge problem overall though. I definitely recommend it for anyone that prefers gentle, natural products AND anyone trying to begin with a natural deodorant, even if you only start using it sometimes. The eco-friendly packaging is just the icing on the cake!
